The London comes in two sizes and the extra wide
and extra narrow fiberglass pommels (gullet) of the Cheyenne, Cherokee
and Atlanta will also fit this saddle. The London has adjustable kneerolls
and comes standard with two sets of Velcroblocks so that you can adjust
the saddle according to your preference. The saddle gives a very nice
deep seat and is extremely soft and cushy. The cantle of the London
is made of a soft semi flexible foam/rubber to take care of the sensitive
lumbar region of your horse.
This saddle is the solution for anyone who is
looking for a good looking and well made treeless Dressage saddle that
is still affordable and that will fit all the horses on your paddock.
The unbeatable comfort of all other Barefoot models for horses and riders
also applies to the London. The London provides an especially soft and
comfortable seat for the rider, be ready for riding on clouds.
We have been waiting in suspense for this model
and believe that it will help many dressage and pleasure horses in the
country currently suffering from saddle pain. From experience I can
say that a treeless saddle is a dream come true for any Dressage rider,
the aids get finer, the connection with the horse so very subtle and
your horse will move forward so much freer and with more lightness.
Laterals also become much easier for the horse because it has the space
to move the spine laterally and vertically without restriction.
You can expect that your horse will build or
rebuild topline fast in the London provided you know how to exercise
your horse correctly. Please also be ready for a horse that now gives
you extensions as well as collection with more enthusiasm. Formerly
lazy and short stepping horses will be easier to ride with more impulsion
and improved stridelength.
We are very excited to finally offer a Barefoot
Dressage saddle to the Australian riders, it may just be time for you
now to take the plunge and go treeless.
For dressage competitions we recommend you use
one of your square white saddlecloth on top of your therapeutic saddle
pad. We have black Grandeur pads & Grandeur Physiopads shaped to the London
The Physiopads are suitable for horses with higher withers, atrophied backs
or the heavier rider. The standard Grandeur London pad fits all other conformations and is recommended for light and medium sized riders. Both types of pads were designed
to fit and suit the London perfectly. The saddlepads attach to the saddle in
4 places so the fit is very tidy and snug. For competitions, riders use
a white competition pad between the saddle and the Grandeur pad.

This new model has some additional adjustability options and very nice kneepads. The seat is built up at the back which makes 'the Lex' most suitable for horses with uphill conformation and /or uphill movement. The Lex has a higher cantle and therefore provides a very deep seat. The adjustable kneepad design will allow you to set the saddle up so that it offers perfect rider support. The flaps are fairly long so this saddle is most suited to the medium to taller variety ride. The size 1 measures 58 cm from the midseam of the seat to the bottom of the flap.'There has been a lot of positive feedback on the girthing system and the deep and comfortable seat of the Lexington. The kneepads of this saddle are the smartest in my shop. The saddle is sturdier with tougher leather than the London and it has a breaking in time of 5 - 10 hours of riding to allow the padding to settle. The 'Lex', differently to the London can be used for endurance, the leather is the same quality as the black Cherokee, meaning sturdy and strong.
The saddlepads to suit this saddle are the Grandeur and Physio numnah's and the Skitopads.
Please note that there is a current recall on the Lexington stirrup plates with 'slide on open hooks'. The saddles are now delivered with an ajustable Velcro stirrup plate with closed D's for stirrup leather attachments. This means the use of safety stirrups is recommended for this model as it is for all other saddle models in our shop.
